Gabit Events (gabitevents.co.uk) are throwing two exclusive fan events this November, and they sound pretty sweet.

One of them is going to be limited to 580 guests and will have Richard Dean Anderson as well as Amanda! I was reading over the itenerary and everything and it sounds like a wonderful vacation plus you’ll get to talk to Richard and Amanda in small groups.

The other event is just for Amanda and is limited to only 300 fans. It sounds really great tho, a disco and lots of other events.

They are pretty pricey (close to 200 pounds each, which is like 400ish USD I believe) but they boast a very small number of attendees and sound like the ultimate fan experience.

If you’re a big Stargate fan, but don’t have the Sci-Fi specialty channel, then you’re in luck.

Season Nine of Stargate: SG1 enters syndication on September 23rd with Ben Browder joining the cast to replace Jack and Beau Bridges becoming the general of Stargate command. Claudia Black also guest stars for the first six episodes while Amanda is away on maternity leave. Cladiua will also return for the final two episodes before becoming a regular cast member in season ten which is currently airing on Sci-Fi.

“Avalon – Part 1” is the season opener, check your local listings for showtimes.

I’m sure you all watched the episode ‘200’ the other week, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! It was really great to see a light-hearted poke at all the jokes and silly stuff that has gone on over the last 200 episodes, but our beloved SG1 may be in grave danger!

The producers were notified around the same time this episode was completed that the Sci-Fi channel no longer plans on renewing SG1 for an 11th season.

What can I do?
If you’re like me and still feel that the old dog has a few new tricks for us you can visit savestargatesg1.com for links to all the various fan initiatives to convince the network that it’s worth renewing once again.
